Amber Alvarez is a Program Librarian at Euless Public Library, where she has worked for nearly ten years, focusing on developing programs for teens and adults. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from Texas Woman’s University. Amber’s background in the arts influences her creative approach to library programming, while her training in Restorative Justice helps her create inclusive, supportive environments for patrons. With a passion for community engagement and a commitment to lifelong learning, Amber continues to combine her expertise in library science with her love for creativity and connection.
Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Mollie Myers moved to the Dallas–Fort Worth area after high school and has proudly called Texas home ever since. A lifelong learner, she’s attended Tarrant County College, the University of Texas at Arlington, and Southern New Hampshire University—proving that dedication doesn’t come with a diploma, it comes with grit. She continues to pursue her degree while balancing a full-time career, a family, and approximately 74 library emergencies a week. No big deal. Her journey with the City of Euless began in 2003 as a waitress at the Texas Star Golf Course and Conference Center. Through hard work, she rose through the ranks to become Shift Lead and then Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. In 2011, she transitioned to the City’s Finance Department as Payroll Technician, and by 2015, she had leveled up again—first as Administrative Secretary for Planning and Development, and later for the Euless Library. That’s where she found her true calling. Promoted to Library Services Supervisor in 2023, she now leads a passionate team committed to community growth, lifelong learning, and ensuring there's never a quiet moment in the library (ironically). She thrives on the dynamic energy of “library world,” a place where no day is ever the same and every moment is a chance to connect, support, and uplift the community. She lives in Azle, Texas with her spouse (a fellow lover of the outdoors and a solid pair of boots), their two amazing kids adopted from foster care, and Bella, the dog who supervises it all. Their family is built on intention, a lot of love, and the kind of joy you don’t always see coming—but are lucky to find.
