Who Should Attend: Library: Public library managers, supervisors, team leads, and staff responsible for coordinating frontline service teams, particularly those navigating organizational change, staff alignment, or complex patron interactions. This webinar is also relevant for emerging leaders and staff working in collaborative leadership environments. The session focuses on practical, adaptable strategies that help teams build buy-in, strengthen communication, and create shared accountability across positions and experience levels.

Presenters:

Melissa Perez Shadowens is a Librarian Manager with Plano Public Library. With more than 19 years of experience in libraries, she specializes in public library management with a focus on leadership, staff development, and onboarding training. Melissa earned her MLS from the University of North Texas and currently volunteers as an Alumni Mean Green Mentor.
Jaime Eastman is a Senior Public Services Librarian at Plano Public Library. She serves as an Early Literacy Coordinator and focus area librarian for Early Learning, developing, evaluating, and scheduling early learning programs and storytimes across the system. She is also active involved with the Association for Library Service to Children and blogs regularly. Jaime prepares and presents a variety of programming and training for patrons and staff and enjoys connecting others with the resources they need for success. 
Sarah Deay is a Library Support Supervisor at the Plano Public Library and a current MLS student. She actively participates in the Plano Public Library's Lead Team, programming, storytime, outreach, content creation, adapted programming, and strategic plan projects. Additionally, Sarah leads the Plano Public Library's MLS Student Group and the New Supervisors Group.
