In this webinar, Librarian Ricci Yuhico will show you how to create public library events that teens will happily attend and even help produce.

This webinar is designed for library staff who are struggling to connect with their teen audiences or who are new to building and planning teen programming.

  • Know several marketing techniques and strategies for effectively reaching and engaging teens with your events
About the Presenter

Ricci Yuhico is an award-winning librarian originally from Miami, Florida who celebrates her multifaceted identity as a first-generation Filipino-American. With over a decade of library service, Ricci has launched and managed premiere teen centers in major urban libraries in South Florida and New York City—spaces that empower young adults in pursuit of their right to vetted information, accessible resources, and to thrive in public places. She strives to ensure her work as a public servant is shaped first by radical love and acceptance.

Ricci is a proud alumnus of public schools; she earned her Master’s of Science in Information from Florida State University and her Bachelor’s of Arts in English from Florida International University. She currently adjuncts at CUNY Queens College’s Graduate School of Information teaching future library professionals.

While Ricci generally shies away from effusive words, she is proud to note that The New York Times named her as one of six New Yorkers who made the city a better, cooler, fairer place in a year-end review. More recently, contributors to Literary Hub listed her as a “Badass Librarian.”
