A PLA 2026 Virtual Conference On-Demand Webinar
This on-demand webinar explores the process of developing DeKalb County Public Library's SPARK program, which provides digital literacy skills training to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals. It also addresses strategies for building collaborative relationships with the Department of Corrections and other relevant organizations to effectively serve this underserved population.

Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this on-demand webinar, participants will be able to:
- Develop digital literacy classes for justice impacted individuals who are either incarcerated or formerly incarcerated;
- Partner with the Department of Corrections and other organizations to identify justice impacted individuals; and
- Gain awareness of both the challenges and opportunities of teaching classes in a prison or jail.

This on-demand webinar is intended for any public library worker wishing to sample the educational offerings of the PLA 2026 Virtual Conference.

Panelists
Tom Auger a Senior Librarian who works in the Adult Services division for DeKalb County Public Library. His primary focus is working on increasing digital literacy in DeKalb County. He works primarily with senior citizens and people who have been impacted by the justice system.
