Panelists

Dr. June Abbas is Director and a Professor in the School of Library and Information Studies. She graduated with a PhD in information science from the University of North Texas in 1998. She was awarded the 2016 Kilgour Award from OCLC/ALA LITA. Her research interests include youth and the socio-cognitive factors associated with use of information technology, the role of libraries as transformative organizations, and human-centered design and knowledge organization within various contexts.

Dr. Chie Noyori-Corbett is a Professor in the Zarrow Family School of Social Work at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Noyori-Corbett is the founder of OU’s Humanitarian Innovation Research Group. Its mission is to bring about awareness of refugee integration issues in global and local areas. Her central research areas are global social work, forced migration, climate change driven migration, and human rights pedagogy.

Dr. Jiening Ruan is a Professor in the Jennine Rainbolt College of Education at the University of Oklahoma.

Xue Pan is a doctoral student in the School of Library and Information Studies and a graduate library research assistant in the Bizzell Library at the University of Oklahoma.
